Karolina Mellor

About

Dr Karolina Mellor is an academic operations leader with expertise in graduate education, program governance, and accreditation. She currently serves as Associate Director of Academic Operations in the College of Engineering, where she directs course and program approval processes, manages the academic catalog, and oversees accreditation, licensure, and documentation for graduate programs across all engineering departments.

Previously, Dr. Mellor worked at the Office of the Provost, supporting graduate academic initiatives across colleges and the global campus network, with a focus on the student academic experience and cross-institutional coordination. Before joining Northeastern, she led non-research programs at the Yale Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering, including education, outreach, and international partnerships, and managed the Yale–UNIDO collaboration to expand access to green chemistry education globally.

Dr. Mellor earned her PhD in molecular biology from the University of Virginia and has experience in university technology transfer through the Innovation, Licensing, and Ventures Group.
