About
Taral Oza is a seasoned technology leader specializing in medical devices and healthcare innovation. With extensive experience in software architecture, embedded systems, and cloud technologies, he has played a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge, FDA-regulated medical products.
Currently serving as a Director of Engineering at Omnicell, Taral leads a team of over 35 engineers, driving digital transformation and modernizing cloud and IoT-based healthcare solutions. Previously, he held senior leadership positions at Abbott, where he spearheaded the development of groundbreaking mobile applications and remote patient monitoring systems for implantable cardiac devices. His contributions have led to industry-first innovations, including the world’s first smartphone-enabled Insertable Cardiac Monitor, recognized as one of Time Magazine’s Best Innovations.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Taral is also a dedicated educator, teaching advanced technology courses at UCSC and Northeastern University, helping professionals and students enhance their software development skills. His expertise spans mobile platforms, cybersecurity, machine learning, and regulatory compliance in the healthcare space.
