Plans of Study
The following plans of study are for current students only. Plans are organized based on term of entry. These plans are samples only- actual curriculum sequences may deviate from these samples. Programs of study are the responsibility of the student. The University Catalog provides a listing of degree requirements for each program, and the DARS system provides a degree audit utility for students.
The first-year engineering coursework provides a foundational experience across engineering majors, which provides flexibility for students who may decide to change their engineering major during the first year. The first-year required math, science, and Cornerstone courses are offered at multiple locations including the Northeastern Boston campus, Northeastern Oakland campus, and the Northeastern London campus via the London Scholars Program. The first-year engineering coursework is also offered via the New York City Scholars Program and through the N.U.in Program as well.
Engineering students participate in many of the first-year programs just mentioned. At this time, students across engineering majors complete their studies on the Boston campus only following their participation in any of our first-year global enrollment programs, with one exception. The exception is that students who are admitted to our Oakland campus for the following academic programs only will have the option to either stay in Oakland to continue and complete their studies or to transition to the Boston campus after the first year in Oakland to continue and complete their studies in Boston: Computer Engineering (single major); Computer Engineering and Computer Science (combined major); Electrical Engineering (single major); Electrical and Computer Engineering (combined major). Learn more about Northeastern Engineering Oakland.
Specific questions about your plan should be directed to your Academic Advisor.

PlusOne Pathway Programs
PlusOne programs allow undergraduate students to earn a Master’s degree with as little as one year of additional study by taking up to four graduate courses as an undergraduate student.
Pathways for each undergraduate degree can be found below by following the link and navigating to the ‘PlusOne Accelerated Master’s Degree’ section. Students in combined majors should refer to the link for their home program. For example, students in the Bioengineering and Biochemistry combined major are eligible for any pathways listed on the Bioengineering page.
