Introducing a New Minor in Computational Data Analytics

This new exciting Computational Data Analytics minor degree program, offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, provides a coherent technical foundation in the fundamentals and application of data analytics. The 5-course minor addresses the growing demand in industry to be able to apply background in probability/statistics, calculus, engineering problem solving, computing and analytical principles/tools to identify patterns and trends, find clusters and outliers, characterize and summarize the mountain of data being generated in our world. The program is open to all students in STEM fields at Northeastern, and will provide students with background ready to pursue careers in big data analytics.

Career options in Data Analytics include social media data mining, healthcare analytics, supply chain management, financial market analysis, and cybersecurity systems.
