Congratulations NU ASCE
The NU chapter of ASCE finished in sixth place when competing against 15 area teams with their new lighter design in the 2011 New England Regional Conrete Canoe competition. COE Dean David Luzzi met with Concrete Canoe team members and faculty advisors Daniel Dulaski and Kathryn Schulte as the group put the finishing touches on their 220-pound vessel. Each year, nearly 200 ASCE student chapters participate in this national competition, which features slalom, sprint and endurance races. Teams are scored on design, design reports, oral presentations, and race results.
