Matthew Fei, BS’26, chemical engineering, has completed two co-ops and worked as a research assistant for two labs at Northeastern. With his passion for chemical engineering and creating an impact on the world, Fei is planning to pursue higher education before heading into industry, with ambitions to create his own company in the future.

Building Hull-Cleaning Robots During a High-Tech Co-Op
During his co-op at Fleet Robotics, Northeastern mechanical engineering student and marine science minor Timothy Wong helped develop and test an autonomous, magnet-equipped robot designed to clean biofouling and invasive species off ship hulls at sea.

Matteo Couto Frignani, E’25, combined bioengineering and biochemistry, graduated last year and is now pursuing a PhD in bioengineering at Princeton University.
