Position 1. Project Management Intern

Project Managers on the Battery Module Design Engineering Team drive programs from R&D concept to high volume production. The role requires a highly organized mind set, a passion to launch new technologies and an unparalleled ability to pull people together to make things happen. Our designs AND schedules push the limits of physical possibility, which requires you to be extremely detail oriented and drive the design and cross functional teams to execute quickly at high quality. You will drive collaboration with many engineering groups, and ensure our team is aligned with company priorities. Bing self‐motivated and disciplined is critical. You must be passionate, but direction changes frequently, so you must also be resilient. Our small team makes the batteries for Electric Vehicles and Energy Storage Products.

Role & Responsibilites

  • Accountable for creating, maintaining & communicating schedules & plans for battery projects
  • Drive action with internal & cross functional teams to successfully complete projects within time & resource constraints
  • Identify creative & timely solutions to key program challenges
  • Track project progress & report effectively on status, blockers & changes
  • Develop & maintain effective communication channels to all stakeholders
  • Track project costs & drive cost management improvement
  • Track resourcing of projects & drive resource balancing between different program priorities
  • Support tracking & execution of design validation testing
  • Identify team priorities & motivate the project team to complete critical tasks
  • Develop systems & best practices for communication & change management
  • Own product BOM accuracy & communication of changes between design, supply chain, PMI & material planning
  • Complete appropriate documentation & ensure accuracy of data across our systems (Enovia, MES, WARP, Polarion)

Requirements

  • B.S. Engineering OR equivalent experience & evidence of exceptional ability
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
  • Experience creating reports, analyses or reporting tools for management
  • Experience in managing or launching hardware products
  • Understanding of the design cycle & design problem solving processes
  • Ability to work cross‐functionally & manage large teams
  • Detail oriented with strong record‐keeping & organizational skills

Position 2. Business Intelligence Engineer Co-op 

We seek a talented and motivated Operations Research engineer who possess a combination of analytical, problem solving, technical, and communication skills to optimize the performance of our systems. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and be able to create and maintain efficient and automated processes. They know and love working with business intelligence tools, can model multidimensional datasets, and can partner effectively with business leaders to answer key business questions. They are capable of prioritizing multiple deliverables and effectively communicating progress and blockers. They should feel comfortable working across multiple data-sources, and be capable of participating in and understanding how multiple systems communicate information to one-another.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of scalable solutions for ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to support analytical and business needs
  • Identify process and system improvement opportunities by monitoring existing metrics, analyzing data, and partnering with internal and operational teams
  • Manage and execute projects from start to finish including data gathering and manipulation, statistical modeling, and communication of insights and recommendations
  • Write queries to pull data needed with standard query syntax; periodically identify more advanced methods of query optimization. Convert data to make it analysis-ready
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, design, analysis, validation, and documentation

Basic Qualifications:

  • Working towards Bachelors or Master’s degree in an analytically rigorous field (Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Econometrics)
  • Experience building dashboards in Tableau or other relevant data visualization tool (Looker, PowerBI, Grafana, etc.)
  • Write high-quality SQL queries to retrieve and analyze complex datasets
  • Basic understanding of Python, R or other relevant scripting language
  • Experience using quantitative methods to evaluate product/system/service performance
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across stakeholder groups

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in applied statistics or data science
  • Understanding of ETL processes
  • Previous experience or interest in business intelligence, data engineering, system engineering or operations engineering
  • Knowledge of AWS (e.g Athena, Sagemaker, S3, EC2, RDS)
  • Quantitative and qualitative data analysis experience with demonstrated impact to a project or business use case, a track record of creative problem solving, and the desire to create and build new processes
  • Experience with machine learning methods

Position 3. Supply Chain Co-op

We are looking for a self-driven individual who can create and track KPIs for our non-CM TIER I suppliers & create SOPs and documentation. The Co-op will assist the Supply Planner with daily activities. We are looking for a Co-op who is currently a student in the field of Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related, with a focus on supply chain management / logistics. As our Supply Planning Co-op, you will:

  • Create and update inventory, purchase orders and other reports
  • Create and keep track of KPIs via Scorecards of suppliers
  • Keep track of demand and follow up on projects incoming from global markets, comparing this with the global forecast.
  • Follow up warranty fulfillment
  • Document SOPS for daily activities in supply chain
  • Create commercial documentation that enables global logistics
  • Rotational assignments comprising of supply chain, including logistics, order management, supply and demand planning.

A student with a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related discipline. MS/MBA is a plus. Experience within Supply Chain and/or Logistics internship is a plus Experience with data mining/analysis and tools (Excel, Tableau preferred) Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
