Inaugural College of Engineering Young Alumni Impact Award Recipients
The College of Engineering announces its inaugural Young Alumni Impact Award recipients. These six leaders in their fields were carefully selected from a pool of faculty nominations. With only one awardee for each engineering discipline, this is an elite achievement. Algorithm To Detect AI-Generated Fake Scientific Papers
MGEN Assistant Teaching Professor Ahmed Abdeen Hamed published his work, “Detection of ChatGPT Fake Science With the XFakeSci Learning Algorithm,” in Scientific Reports. His algorithm is nearly twice as successful as more common data-mining techniques, detecting up to 94% of inauthentic papers.
