Advancing the Development of 2D Polymers
ChE Associate Professor Steve Lustig was awarded a $275k grant by the Army Research Laboratory in continued funding for the development of novel chemical monomers and polymerization methods for 2D polymers. To date, Lustig has studied the 2D polyarimines and polyaramids using molecular solvation theory, computer simulation, and experiments for solution thermodynamics and thermal resilience properties.
