Amirabadi Receives ARPA-E Grant

ECE Assistant Professor Mahshid Amirabadi was awarded a $240K grant from ARPA-E to develop "A New Class of Soft-Switching Capacitive-Link Universal Converters for Photovoltaic Application".

In this project, the PI and her team will develop a new class of PV inverters that have the potential to radically increase the power density, lifetime, and efficiency while significantly reducing the costs associated with shipping, installation, repair, and replacement. This project mainly focuses on commercial and utility scale PV systems.
