Aoun Global Experience Scholars

Environmental engineering student Emily Eastman (E’21) and BS/MS industrial engineering student Nwaobiala Ajegwu (E’21) were two out of five selected to be inaugural recipients of the Joseph E. and Zeina Aoun Global Experience Scholarship, which supports campus community leaders participating in global experiences. Emily used her scholarship to participate in a global co-op as an environmental engineering intern helping farmers with biogas digesters at su-re.co in Badung, Bali. Nwaobiala completed a global co-op at the Karen Village Art Studio in Nairobi, Kenya to study art and the LGBTQIA+ community.
