CEE Department Hosts Second US-Japan Workshop on Wind Hazards

On November 12, 2011, Northeastern University's Wind Engineering Research Group hosted the Second U.S.-Japan Workshop on Structural Dynamics and Monitoring of Bridges and Flexible Structures against Wind Hazards. This workshop served as a platform for sharing information on the latest developments on structural dynamics and monitoring of bridges and slender structures against wind hazards. This event was organized by Prof. Luca Caracoglia in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and was attended by researchers from across the U.S. and Japan. Topics addressed at the workshop included structural dynamics, random vibrations, numerical methods, and experimental methods. The objectives of the workshop were to promote discussion among researches and to identify common topics for future academic interaction.
