Civil Engineering Ph.D. Student Earns Research Fellowship with the 2016 National Water Center Summer Institute

Congratulations to Ms. Dongmei Feng, a Civil Engineering Ph.D. student studying under Ed Beighley, who has been selected as a Student Research Fellow for the 2016 National Water Center (NWC) Summer Institute. The NWC provides hydrology and water prediction services within the National Weather Service and aims to improve federal coordination and collaboration in the water sector. The NWC Summer Institute will take place at the University of Alabama and NOAA's National Water Center from June 6 – July 20, 2016. Student Research Fellows will collaborate intensively for seven weeks to work on projects designed to contribute to the NWC goals of enhancing water-related products and decision-support services across the country.  Ed Beighley: "Dongmei has already made significant contributions to the research community at Northeastern and I am confident she will make a lasting impact in the hydrological sciences."
