From Saudi Arabia to Boston and Two Degrees in Between
Amal Bukhari traveled from Saudi Arabia to Boston to pursue an MS in information systems. While at Northeastern she realized her passion for learning, and the importance of furthering her education, and continued on to pursue a PhD in interdisciplinary engineering. The data driven work she did for her research project is the core of the new Data Architecture and Management master’s program. Her impressive work with partners here in Boston used Big Data to predict pre-admission for patients with heart failure. She explained that “…the new program of Data Architecture and Management would have made my work very easy and systematic.” Since graduating in December 2019, she has the opportunity from her scholarship with the University of Jeddah Saudi Arabia, to go back and teach what she has learned here at Northeastern University.
