Global Scholars Fine-Tune STEM Project for Young Learners at Oakland Campus

Global scholars at the Northeastern’s Oakland campus are completing their Cornerstone of Engineering II semester-long project, which is focused on STEM toys and has been enhanced by collaboration with the nearby Mills Children’s School. Through multiple visits and interactions with students and teachers, scholars have gained valuable firsthand experience and feedback, ensuring that their projects meet the educational needs and safety standards of students in Kindergarten and first grade.

Students have been maximizing the diverse array of resources at their disposal as they complete the STEM toys. From the woodshop to the compact makerspace, complete with 3D printers and power tools, they have dedicated themselves to the construction and enhancement of their projects. Their creativity and commitment are evident as they put the finishing touches on their innovative creations.
