IEEE Places 6th at Micromouse Competition

The IEEE student chapter of Northeastern University sponsored a team of motivated students to travel and participate in the IEEE Region I Collegiate Micromouse Competition on April 16th and 17th. This was Northeastern's first time competing so the competition was fierce for our newcomers. Due to the hard work and devotion of our micromouse team (Charles Ziegler, William Kalfus, Kenneth Afriyie, Sourabh Marathe, Justin Xia, and Matthew Murphy), Northeastern placed 6th out of 19 colleges! They even beat teams that were iterating from years before! This truly was a magnificent feat. For next year's competition, they plan on designing their own PCB using the knowledge they have obtained from this year in order to avoid the MANY hiccups they previously encountered. If you want to get involved in next years competition just reach out to ziegler.c@husky.neu.edu and kalfus.w@husky.neu.edu. It is super exciting, you make good friends, and you will learn a lot about robotics.
