Lejeune Awarded Department of Energy SCGSR Research Fellowship

Chemical Engineering PhD candidate Brian Lejeune has been awarded DOE Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) Fellowship. Brian is advised by Cabot Professor Laura Lewis holding joint appointments in ChE and MIE. The SCGSR Fellowship will enable him to continue his research on Composition-Lattice Interactions in Intermetallic Ferromagnetic Systems for a period of six months at the Ames Laboratory operated by and located on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.  He looks forward to the opportunity to work in the preeminent research facility to explore single crystal growth and contribute to understanding lattice-magnetism interactions in the AlFe2B2 material system. Brian graduated with a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern in 2013. Outside of the lab, he is involved in AIChE's Chem-E-Car competition as a student advisor.
