New Minor in Entrepreneurial Engineering

A new Minor in Entrepreneurial Engineering is being offered by the Sherman Center for Engineering Entrepreneurship Education. This program is the result of the hard work of Sherman Center Director Professor Shashi Murthy, and is a crucial step toward our shared goal of transforming engineering education through our recently announced curriculum reform that is one of our College’s top priorities for this academic year.

The course requirements for the Entrepreneurial Engineering minor are designed to incorporate both engineering and creative elements (product design, product development, prototyping), along with market and societal considerations (customer discovery and needs assessment).  The elective option provides an opportunity to specialize in one of three areas: manufacturing, design, or venture creation.
