Northeastern Team Competes at 2017 Supercomputing Conference

A team made of six Northeastern ECE/CS students competed at the international Student Cluster Competition held during the 2017 Supercomputing conference in Denver, Colorado.

According to event organizers, “The competition is a microcosm of a modern HPC (high performance computuing) center that teaches and inspires students to pursue careers in the field. It demonstrates the breadth of skills, technologies and science that it takes to build, maintain and utilize a supercomputer.”

The six students that represented Northeastern are Maddy Leger, Tristan Sweeney, Jason Booth, Zachary Marcus, Spencer Hance, and Carter McCardwell. They were advised by ECE Professor David Kaeli and Undergraduate Student Chris Bunn.
