OpenLoop Team to Compete at Hyperloop Competition Weekend

The OpenLoop student group which is made up of students from six universities competed at the Hyperloop Pod Competition last weekend at Texas A&M and qualified to compete this summer at the Competition Weekend in Hawthorne, LA.

During design weekend, the team received great feedback from sponsors and several are interested in the team's design. Some of these sponsors include ACP Composites, Rhinestahl, Hyperloop Technologies, and the California High Speed Rail Authority to name a few.

Another amazing part about OpenLoop is that we are a large part of a documentary about youth innovation in America. Kip and Kern Konweiser are the directors and they have been following us around and filming prior and throughout design weekend. This documentary will be presented to both the U.S. Senate and to every K-12 school in the nation. They will continue to follow our team and will most likely come to Northeastern to film the building of our pod.
