Prestigious FIRST Award

The Nutrons won the Chairman’s Award in the South Florida Regional Competition this past weekend. The Chairman's award is the most prestigious award in FIRST, and the So. Florida Regional Competition is large which means they competed against a lot of really good teams for this award. This automatically qualifies them to go to the Championship in St. Louis on April 22-25.

The Nutrons FIRST Robotics team is made up of high school students from Lynn, Revere and Brookline, who are mentored by COE faculty, alumni and students. Northeastern will be hosting a competition on March 26-28, which brings 800-1000 high school students on about 35 teams to campus (Matthews Arena.)
