University of Arkansas College of Engineering Honors Prof. Adam Ekenseair

The University Of Arkansas College Of Engineering honored ChE Assistant Professor Adam Ekenseair with the Early Career Alumni Award at its annual banquet on Saturday, April 29, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fayetteville.

The Early Career Alumni Award is presented to College of Engineering graduates who are achieving distinction in their fields of endeavor and show significant promise for professional leadership in state, national and international activities. These individuals have served in their industries for 20 years or less.

Prof. Ekenseair received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Arkansas in 2005, and he earned a doctorate at the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Northeastern University.

Prof. Ekenseair is also an affiliate in the Department of Bioengineering and serves as the web editor for the Society for Biomaterials. The primary focus of his research is exploring the complex interplay between material composition, structural hierarchy, and biological response.
