Unlocking Ultra-Broadband Satellite Connectivity With 6G Technology
Sergi Aliaga, PhD’27, and Hussam Abdellatif, PhD’25, both electrical engineering majors, are pioneering ultra-high-frequency communications for 6G satellite systems to revolutionize ultra-broadband space connectivity by enhancing data speeds and bandwidth efficiency. They are advised by ECE Professor Josep Jornet, who is also co-director of the Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things. The students have received a patent related to this research.
