Upmanyu Receives ONR Grant
Our research is driven by challenges in understanding and engineering the science that links the form and function in materials, both in technology and nature. Our approach is bottom-up, ranging from atomic-scale to the continuum, using appropriate combination of theoretical frameworks and numerical experiments. The latter usually involve large-scale computations, often within a multi-physics/multi-scale paradigm, that allow us to make contact with experiments at the relevant length and time scales. We collaborate heavily with experimental groups and recently have begun to carry out some of our lab work.
