Using Honey Bee Techniques to Manipulate Soft Materials
Recently hired MIE Assistant Teaching Professor Marguerite Matherne is studying how honey bees remove pollen pellets from their bodies to better manufacture and manipulate soft materials. Her research on “Biomechanics of Pollen Removal By the Honey Bee,” was published in the Journal of the Royal Society Interface.
