Alliance for Diversity in Science and Engineering

The purpose of the organization is to provide a platform to facilitate interactions between graduate students who are interested in improving the diversity in the science and engineering communities. Diversity is a term used to describe the fact that different cultures exist within an organization, and improving diversity means working to bring about proportional representation of the cultures. Science and engineering flourishes best when its members reflect society, and society’s cultural fabric is proportionally represented.
