About

Prof. Sergey Aityan received his DSc in Mathematics and Physics from Lomonosov Moscow State University, PhD in Computer Science and PhD in Chemistry and Biophysics from Russian Academy of Sciences, and MBA from Lincoln University.

Prof. Aityan is conducting research in artificial intelligence (AI), artificial neural networks, theoretical neuroscience, mathematical modeling, simulation, and optimization of complex systems, biomedical applications, economic theory. He published over 150 papers and 7 books. Prof. Aityan is currently teaching AI, neural networks, and software engineering courses.

Prof. Aityan is hosting the “Multidisciplinary Round Table” (MRT), a monthly discussion forum for discussions and exchange of opinions on various multidisciplinary topics. Ther MRT sessions are held on the Oakland campus but available online for all NEU students, faculty, and staff on all campuses as well as for outside guests.
