Felipe Benavides, a Biologist from Colombia’s Universidad de Nariño, earned his PhD in Ecology from Universidad Austral de Chile. He delves into the world of data science to tackle environmental issues and shares his expertise as a guest lecturer at universities across the Americas, spreading the love for science far and wide. In his research, Felipe collaborates with an interdisciplinary team spanning across different institutions, including the Experiential Artificial Intelligence team at the Roux Institute, the Sustainability and Data Sciences Lab at the Boston Campus, and the Gulf of Maine Research Institute in Portland, Maine. Together, they blend their expertise to tackle complex environmental challenges head-on.
