About
James E. Jones is the Associate Director of IT Services at Northeastern University’s College of Engineering, bringing over 15 years of expertise in Unix/Linux systems, scripting, and database management. In his current role, James oversees the Engineering Computer Center, supporting students, faculty, and staff with advanced technology solutions. His work includes developing virtual lab environments, maintaining computational resources for research, and managing key network services like LDAP and DNS. With a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern and proficiency in languages like Python and SQL, James is a dedicated innovator in educational and research technology infrastructure.
