Chemical Engineering Master’s Student Works Toward Better Electric Vehicles with Battery Materials on Co-op
As electric vehicles become more prominent, accessible, and convenient, it is imperative that research continues to push the reliability of their batteries further. That’s what Haroon Bukhari, a chemical engineering master’s student explores each day as an employee on co-op at Rogers Corporation which is based onsite on Northeastern’s Innovation Campus in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Service-Learning Project Focuses on Healthy Cultural Food Options Near Boston School
Students in a COE co-op course, led by John Bleakney, associate co-op coordinator, worked on a service learning project, the Cultural Nutrition Program, with the Afrimerican Culture Initiative, to explore healthy ethnic food options near Boston Preparatory School. Boston City Councilor Richard Arroyo presented the Afrimerican Culture Initiative with an official resolution commending the group’s ‘design and build’ of antiracist projects and initiatives.

MS in Cyber Physical Systems Student Gets Job Offers at Both Amazon and Nokia
Nitin Sunda, ME’21, cyber physical systems with the internet of things concentration, credits the skills that he learned in class with him landing a co-op at tech company Nokia. His program is at Northeastern’s Silicon Valley campus. Now he has full time job offers from Nokia and Amazon.

Telecommunication Networks Co-op at Nokia Provides Real-World Experience
Aman Kushwaha, ME’22, telecommunication networks, completed a co-op at Nokia as an Infrastructure and DevOps Intern setting up automation tools for data centers and optimizing pre-existing architecture to equip them with upcoming technologies. The MS in Telecommunication networks covering computer systems networking and telecommunications is an area as Kushwaha says that “every conglomerate, every infrastructure, every organization stands tall with the help of communications and inter-networking (internet).”
