VPN

Students, faculty, and staff can now connect securely to the NU campus network from off-campus using a VPN (Virtual Private Network).

You must use the VPN to connect to on-campus computers via Remote Desktop, VNC, and similar protocols.

This service is provided and supported by NU ITS. Use your NU (not COE) credentials to connect to the VPN.

Installing and Using the VPN client

  1. Download the VPN client at https://vpn.northeastern.edu
(Note: you must enroll in Northeastern’s Two Factor Authentication (2FA) first, as the link will require you to authenticate with it)
  2. On the VPN download page, log in with your Northeastern University credentials
  3. Need help? Refer to instructions and troubleshooting.
