ChE PhD Student Wins NSBE and ACS Honors

Lawrence Ajayi, PhD’27, chemical engineering, has received the 2025–2026 Ramboll Flourish Scholarship from the National Society of Black Engineers, which supports students pursuing degrees in engineering, natural sciences, or architecture who plan to study abroad for a semester. He also received the 2025 Graduate Student Award in Environmental Chemistry from the Environmental Chemistry Division of the American Chemical Society, which recognizes graduate students who are working in areas related to environmental chemistry.

ECE Student Receives 2026 Critical Language Scholarship

Anastasia Lindquist, E’25, computer engineering and computer science, was the recipient of the 2026 Critical Language Scholarship, which partners with universities and nonprofits around the globe to provide cohorts of U.S. students an opportunity to study the language and culture in a country/location where the target language is commonly spoken.

Grace Autumn Jansen, E’28, chemical engineering, won the Sears B. Condit Award, which is awarded annually to one student from each of Northeastern’s undergraduate day colleges and is one of the highest honors that a junior or senior at Northeastern University can receive.

2026 Fulbright Scholarship Semi-finalists

Juliana Castro, E’26, industrial engineering, Lucas McCauley, E’26, bioengineering and biochemistry, and Sasha Pavlov, E’26, civil engineering and architecture, are semi-finalists for the 2026 Fulbright Scholarship, which is awarded to exceptional students to research, study, or teach English abroad, in order to foster diplomacy and mutual understanding between the U.S. and other countries.
