Turning Plastic into Clean Energy
A team of MIE undergraduate and graduate students, under the advisement of Professor Yiannis Levendis, have developed a way to convert non-biodegradable plastic into clean energy without releasing harmful emissions.

Chemical Engineering Students are National Champions
A group of 10 ChE students won 1st place at the National AIChE ChemECar competition in which they had to power and control a car by a chemical reaction. Another group of 3 won the SACHE Student Design Competition for Safety in Design.
