Goldwater Scholar Shares Her Research Experiences

Kaitlyn Ramesh, E’25, bioengineering, received the prestigious 2024 Barry Goldwater Scholarship for her undergraduate research in the Lu Lab and the Prigozhin Lab. She is involved with the Women’s Research Engagement Network and received other awards such as the AJC Merit Research Scholarship.

Enabling Engineering Students Design Inexpensive Wheelchair Sensor System

Students in Northeastern’s Enabling Engineering class designed a wheelchair rear-sensor system for a resident at The Boston Home, a care center for individuals with progressive neurological conditions. The system met the resident’s needs at a fraction of the cost of a typical wheelchair sensor system.

Northeastern Mars Rover Team Places First at the Winter Canadian International Rover Challenge

The Northeastern Mars Rover Team competed in the inaugural Winter Canadian International Rover Challenge, where they took home the gold, placing first and securing their first-ever competition win. Taking place in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Northeastern competed against teams from McMaster University, the University of Toronto, and York University. The competition included four challenges spread across two days.
