ECE Accepted High School Senior Open House Attracts Over 300 Students

Northeastern hosted an Open House for high-school seniors who have been accepted into our program. Between the two dates, over 300 visited the department and toured the labs.

Part of the event included tours of teaching and research laboratories in the department, including the Sophomore teaching labs, the Capstone Design lab, Mario Sznaier's lab, and Raymond Fu's lab. Students loved the chance to see where they would be working, and parents were more than intrigued to learn about the projects going on in the department.

The following photos show visitors touring Professor Raymond Fu's Synergetic Media Learning (SMILE) Lab, which "focuses on the frontier research of applied machine learning, social media analytics, human-computer interaction, and high-level image and video understanding."
