ECE PhD Student Wins Award From China

ECE PhD Student Sheng Li has been named a winner of the Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad by the Chinese Government. This award is given to outstanding Chinese students who are studying abroad and receive no funding from the Chinese Government.

This year there are 500 winners globally out of 400,000 candidates in all disciplines. Sheng Li is the only computer engineering major winner in the east coast-New York region.

As part of the award, Sheng Li will attend an award ceremony in New York as well as receive $6k.

Sheng Li is currently a PhD student under and supervised by ECE Professor Yun Raymond Fu.

The ECE department is happy to congratulate Sheng Li on earning this award.
