First Year Engineering Faculty Receive Mutual Mentoring Advancement Program Award
FYE Assistant Teaching Professors Angelina Jay, Andrew Gillen, Nicole Batrouny, and Adetoun Yeaman received a Mutual Mentoring Advancement Program (M2AP) Award for 2024-2025 from Northeastern’s Advance Office of Faculty Development. The funds will support a peer mentoring initiative towards extending a culture of reflective teaching practice. Faculty will develop reflective teaching prompts and meet regularly to review responses and offer feedback and support. Culminating activities include a half-day retreat and a collection of teaching resources for each faculty member in the First Year Engineering Program. The M2AP from the ADVANCE Office of Faculty Development is open to all full-time faculty and is a great way to secure seed funding to support personal- and unit-level goals.
