Increasing IVF Success
Electrical and Computer Engineering Associate Professor Charles DiMarzio was awarded a patent for his “Phase subtraction cell counting method” to accurately count the cells in an embryo to increase the probability of a healthy transfer during fertility treatments.
Dr. DiMarzio the author of Optics for Engineers and currently leads OSL, the Optical Science Laboratory, which is affiliated with the department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.
