Mimicking Bone Structures

MIE Associate Professor Jeff Ruberti was awarded a $300K National Science Foundation grant to study the complexities of bone material to help synthesis future composite materials.

The NSF funds research and education in science and engineering, through grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements. The Foundation accounts for about 20 percent of federal support to academic institutions for basic research.

Jeff Ruberti received both his BS and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University.
