Professor Harris Named Fellow of the AAAS

University Distinguished Professor and William Lincoln Smith Chair Professor Vincent Harris has been named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

Professor Harris, one of 347 new fellows, has been given the honor “for seminal contributions to the advancement of high frequency magnetism, magnetic materials, and RF device technologies,” according to the AAAS.

The new fellows will attend the AAAS Fellows Forum in February 2016 where they will be presented with an official certificate and a gold and blue—colors representing science and engineering, respectively—rosette pin.

The AAAS says new fellows are selected based on their efforts toward advancing science applications that are deemed scientifically or socially distinguished.

Congratulations to new AAAS Fellow Vincent Harris.
