Sampling Frozen Specimens
MIE Associate Professor Jeff Ruberti was awarded a patent for developing “Systems, methods, and devices for frozen sample distribution”.
Much of Dr. Ruberti's research is based on biomechanics. His patent allows for the removing of a frozen sample from a frozen specimen without the specimen having to be thawed.
