ECE Associate Professor Devesh Tiwari was invited to participate in an invitation-only “Workshop on Cybersecurity of Quantum Computing” supported by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (White House OSTP) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). The workshop was organized and run by Pittsburgh Quantum Institute (PQI). Tiwari represented Northeastern at this elite workshop where only a very selected set of researchers from across the world were invited to brainstorm the future directions of quantum computing cybersecurity. This two-day workshop explored questions related to hardware and software security, protecting intellectual property, and detecting and preventing specific malicious algorithms from being run on quantum computers.
