About
Devesh Tiwari is a researcher and educator at Northeastern University. His group, the Goodwill Computing Lab, focuses on innovating system software solutions for making high performance computing (HPC) systems, data centers, and quantum computing systems more efficient, reliable, and cost-effective. Before joining Northeastern, Dr. Tiwari was a staff scientist at the United States Department of Energy (DOE) Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
He was awarded the Rising Star in Dependability by the IEEE TC on Dependable Computing and Fault Tolerance for the fundamental and translational research contributions impacting the reliability and efficiency of real-world computer systems. For his teaching and mentoring efforts, he was awarded the Professor of the Year by the Northeastern University chapter of the IEEE Eta Kappa Nu honor society. Dr. Tiwari is an Associate Editor for Transactions of Parallel & Distributed Computing (TPDS), Transactions of Storage (ToS), and Journal of Parallel & Distributed Computing (JPDC). He has served as the program co-chair/track co-chair for HPDC, ICDCS, IISWC, IPDPS, and ICCD. Professor Tiwari was recognized with the TPDS Editorial Excellence Award for his exceptional contributions to the TPDS journal as an editor. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University. Before that, he obtained his B.S. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur in India.
