MIE Professor Ahmed Busnaina & Research Associate Professor Sivasubramanian Somu were awarded a patent for their Multi-biomarker Biosensors. Professor Busnaina's previous patent was a a "Method of integrating a single nanowire into a nanocircuit".

Pursuing Vertical Flight

Congratulations to mechanical engineering student Craig Schmidt, Jr. who was awarded the 2014-15 Richard M. Carlson scholarship from the Vertical Flight Foundation.  The Vertical Flight Foundation was founded in 1967 and its scholarship program was established in 1977. Since 1980, four hundred scholarships have been awarded.
