Maya De Los Santos, E’25, electrical and computer engineering, was nominated for the Churchill Scholarship, which provides funding to American students for a year of master’s study at Churchill College, which is part of the University of Cambridge.

Northeastern Team Awarded the Vivli AMR Surveillance Data Challenge Student Innovation Prize
A team of Northeastern graduate students and alumni, led by Harry Akligoh, PhD ’28, bioengineering, participated in the 2024 Vivli Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Surveillance Data Challenge and were awarded the Student Innovation Prize for their Microbiological Information Management System (microBIS) project.

MIE Alum Receives Distinguished Civilian Award
Mechanical engineering graduate Donald Hoffer was awarded the Distinguished Civilian Award, given annually to a civilian who made significant contributions to the work of the U.S. Submarine Force. In his 37-year career with the Department of the Navy, Hoffer worked on several significant projects, including the restoration of the submersible Alvin.
