New Faculty Spotlight: Philip Larese-Casanova
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering welcomes Assistant Professor Philip Larese-Casanova, who joined the faculty in Fall 2010 after serving as a post-doctoral research associate at the Institute for Biospheric Studies at Yale University and the Center for Applied Geosciences at the Eberhard-Karls University Tuebingen in Germany.

Neural Network Challenge
ECE Assistant Professor Denis Erdogmus was chosen to be one of five finalists in the international DIADEM (Digital Reconstruction of Axonal and Dendritic Morphology) Challenge.
