PhD Spotlight: Vineel Kondiboyina, PhD’24, Bioengineering
Vineel Kondiboyina, PhD’24, bioengineering, focused his research on the mechanobiology of limb growth. Using mechanical testing, computational modeling, and biochemical characterization, he explored the dynamics of tissue stiffness and composition changes during limb development.
Fall 2024 AJC Merit Research Scholars
Several engineering and science students mentored by COE faculty are recipients of Northeastern’s AJC Merit Research Scholarship, which will fund a July to December 2024 co-op in the laboratory of a Northeastern University STEM faculty member.

Finding Her Passion in Biomechanics Through Co-ops
Co-ops at Insulet and the U.S. Army DEVCOM Soldier Center helped Elizabeth Klemm, E’23, bioengineering and biomedical engineering, determined her career path. She continued at the Soldier Center after graduating, focusing on helmet mass research and how the distribution of that mass may impact soldier performance.
